Highline College AED Equipment

In case of emergency, you can find AED (Automated External Defibrillator) equipment to assist you at the following locations.

  • Building 6 –  Public Safety Office
  • Building 26 – Fitness Center
  • Building 30 – room 322
  • Campus View – Public Safety Office
  • Public Safety Patrol Vehicle
  • MaST Center in Redondo Beach (in the laboratory, room 101)

How to use an AED

  1. Confirm patient is unconscious, no breathing, no pulse.
  2. Turn on the AED and follow the voice & visual prompts.
  3. Attach electrode pads to patient’s bare chest (male or female) as indicated.
  4. Stop CPR and do not touch patient while AED analyzing.
  5. Deliver a shock by pressing flashing red light if indicated.
  6. Continue 2 mins cycles CPR between shocks if victim is still not breathing until help arrives.

  • Building 6 – 2nd Floor by the Restrooms (1 total )
  • Building 8 – 3rd Floor rear stairwell (1 total)
  • Building 23 – 3rd Floor by elevator on the wall  (1 total)
  • Building 25 – 6th Floor and 4th Floor stairwells  (4 total)
  • Building 26 – 3rd Floor Northside of Building between restrooms (1 total)
  • Building 29 – 3rd Floor by elevator and stairwells (2 total)
  • Building 99 – 2nd floor by the main stairwell  (1 total)
