The Highline College Department of Public Safety is committed to serving and supporting our campus community to ensure a safe and secure environment conducive to a positive social and educational process for our students, faculty, staff and visitors.
Department Services
Highline Public Safety officers are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.

Office Hours: Monday – Tuesday 8:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.
Wednesday – Thursday 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

- Access to campus: 5:00 a.m. – 10:00 p.m.
- Our staff members are professionally trained to provide a safe and secure environment for the students, faculty, staff, and visitors on our campus.
- All officers maintain current first aid certifications.

On-Campus Escorts
If at any time you would like a Highline Public Safety officer to escort you for any reason, contact the Highline Public Safety Office at (206) 592-3218 from any pay phone or from any campus telephone.
Highline Public Safety officers are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Lost and Found
Handling Lost and Found Items
Lost and found item(s) are turned into the Public Safety office (Building 6, Room 105) where they are be logged and stored for 60 days. Unclaimed items will be donated to the Highline Foundation, Women’s Program, Salvation Army or Goodwill.
Claiming Lost and Found Items
Come to the Highline Public Safety office to claim a lost item. A valid photo ID is required to claim lost item(s). If lost item(s) have not yet been turned in, fill out a Lost Property Report at the Highline Public Safety office with a description of the item(s) and contact information in case item(s) are turned in later.
Vehicle Assistance
Highline Public Safety is equipped to assist motorists in jump-starting vehicles and unlocking vehicle doors.
To request a vehicle assist, come the Public Safety office or call our office (206) 592-3218, with the specific location and description of the vehicle.
For vehicle jump start, please have the hood up to make it easier for an officer to locate your vehicle.
We do not assist in the changing of flat tires.
