Cashier Office cannot hold your classes. To avoid being dropped from classes, please pay your balance in full or  enroll in the Nelnet payment plan before the deadline.

Our department receives funds and processes refunds related to student accounts, other departments, and customer accounts. We also issue receipts for payments received by cash, check, or credit card. View tuition payment options.

Payment Methods Accepted

  • Cash

    You can make a tuition payment via cash at the cashier window in building 6, lower level. Please review the hours of operation of when the cashier office is open.

  • Online Payments

    You can make a payment via online using a Visa, MasterCard or Discover at the ctcLink for Students page

  • Online Payment Plan

    Highline College offers a third party online payment plan with Nelnet.

  • 3rd Party Voucher

    If paying with a 3rd party voucher (SEIU, BOEING, DSHS/DVR etc) please email your voucher to Accounts Receivable at accountsreceivable@highline.edu  for processing.

  • Check

    If you would like to pay with a check or money order, please make the check out to Highline College, include your ctcLink number. You can make the payment via check at the cashier window in building 6, lower level. Please review the hours of operation of when the cashier office is open or you can mail your check to:

    * Scholarship check – please drop off your scholarship check at the cashier window in building 6, lower level and make sure check is presented to the cashier window before tuition deadline. (it must be payable to Highline College). Please reach out to Financial Aid department to hold your classes for pending scholarship.

Paying Tuition and Fee

Tuition payment is due each quarter. To avoid being dropped for non-payment, please make payment before the deadline. If you drop after the 100% refund period and have not paid your tuition, you are responsible for paying 60% of the class(es) dropped during the 40% refund period. After the 40% refund period, if you drop and have not paid tuition you are responsible for paying 100% of the class(es) dropped. Tuition and fees are subject to change by the Washington State Legislation. Additional fees may be associated with specific courses. For questions about charges on your account, please email the cashier’s office.

Refunds

The amount of the refund depends on the date you drop or withdraw. If it is after the 40% refund deadline, no refund is issued. To request an exception, you can submit a registration petition for an exception to the policy. Exceptions will only be approved under certain conditions.

  • We process self-pay refunds every Tuesday and Thursday, beginning in the second week of each quarter.
  • A refund will be issued after credit be applied to any outstanding debt owed to the college.
  • If the original payment was made by card, the refund will be issued back to the same card and typically takes 2–5 business days to appear.
  • If the payment was made by cash or check, the refund will be issued as a check and mailed to the address on file. Please allow 2–4 weeks for processing and delivery.
  • If the payment was made by Nelnet via ACH-bank account, it will be refunded by check. Nelnet payments made by credit or debit card will be refunded back to the original card used for payment
  • Financial Aid (FA) refunds are processed Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Any questions regarding FA refund amounts or funding should be directed to the Financial Aid Office. The Cashier’s Office can only confirm whether the refund has been sent to BankMobile. For BankMobile code please reach out to Financial Aid department.
  • Dates and deadlines contain the deadlines for refunds.

1098-T

Highline College will produce a 1098-T Tuition Statement form for students enrolled for qualifying tuition and class fees for the calendar year.
